The Wicklow Way starts in Marley Park in Dublin and extends as far as Clonegal, Carlow. This spectacular 127 km walk takes in some of the most unspoilt countryside in Ireland. Wicklow Way Baggage offer a luggage transfer. For a less rigorous walk or afternoon stroll while taking in some beautiful gardens Powersourt Estate, Killruddery House and Gardens and Mount Usher Gardens are all close by. Coolakay House is located on the road to Powerscourt Waterfall, which is an ideal place for a picnic. Glendalough is a 25 minute drive away which is renowned for its natural beauty and is one of Irelands most visited sites. County Wicklow has been an extremely successful film location since the early days of film making around the 1930s. It has been used in feature films, commercials, television series and short films. Everything from Michael Collins to King Arthur have been shot in County Wicklow. Parts of Enniskerry were used in ‘Into the West’, ‘Ella Enchanted’, ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’, ‘Excalibur’, ‘Leap Year’, ‘The Tudors’, ‘Camelot’ and ‘Michael Collins’. We are lucky to have 2 state of the art studios in Wicklow – Ardmore Studios in Bray, Ireland’s only four-wall studio and the recently opened Ashford Film Studios.
